The Advisory Council is a collegiate body which monitors and follows
up the development of activities carried out by the National Health Surveillance Agency, requesting information and formulating proposals
relevant to the activities of the Agency.
The Council convenes every three months. It comprises representatives
of public administration institutions, organized civil society and the
scientific community . The Board operates under its own rules and is
presided over by the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Health.
To back up the actions of the Council, there is an Executive Secretariat
in charge of planning, guiding, supervising and coordinating the relevant
technical and administrative activities, as well as liaising with public
and private institutions.
