Guideline for the Safety Evaluation of Cosmetic Products

In view of the growing need for information related to the safety evaluation of toiletries, cosmetics and perfumes, in order to ensure their sanitary safety, as well as to monitor these products in the market, the General Office of Cosmetics – ANVISA has coordinated the preparation of this Guideline.

Without intending to exhaust the theme, this work seeks to fill a gap in terms of technical material in this area in the Country, to be used as a reference instrument for all the agents involved. As a result, it is hoped that the use of this information may contribute towards better quality of the products and therefore better performance of control actions.
