inspection of passengers/travelers
Monitoring as a preventive and corrective measure from an epidemiological
risk standpoint
Inspection and Enforcement activities:
- Vaccination
against yellow fever (Yellow fever)
- Presentation
of valid International Vaccination Certificate by travelers
coming from or having transited geographical areas where yellow
fever is considered to be endemic;
- Recommendations
given to travelers either proceeding to or arriving from areas
in Brazil where yellow fever is considered to be endemic;
- Guidance
given to travelers, airfreight carrying companies and passengers
in national or international transit;
- Health
inspection of other diseases of interest to public health (cholera,
malaria, plague, dengue, polio and other emergent diseases);
- Issuing
the International Vaccination Certificate (IVC).
- Dispatch
of corpses: may be transported on regular passenger flights,
both domestic in Brazil and international.
