Areas at Border Crossing Points

To enforce compliance with technical standards as laid down by relevant health legislation in the following :

  • The drinking water- supply system for human consumption;
  • Goods and service-providing companies subject to sanitary surveillance:
    • Food: handling, preparation and serving: eg bars, snack bars, restaurants;
    • Drugstores and pharmacies;
    • Clinics;
    • Dressing rooms;
    • Cargo storage areas;
    • Buildings.
  • Public toilets and collection system for sewage and waste
  • To inspect collection, transport and final disposal of solid waste;
  • To inspect the system of handling, collection, transport and final disposal of solid wastes (rubbish/garbage)
  • To inspect the use of Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) by staff employed in the area concerned.
