Areas at Border Crossing Points
To enforce compliance with technical standards as laid down by relevant
health legislation in the following :
- The drinking water- supply system for human consumption;
- Goods and service-providing companies subject to sanitary
surveillance:
- Food: handling, preparation and serving: eg bars, snack
bars, restaurants;
- Drugstores and pharmacies;
- Clinics;
- Dressing rooms;
- Cargo storage areas;
- Buildings.
- Public toilets and collection system for sewage and waste
- To inspect collection, transport and final disposal of solid
waste;
- To inspect the system of handling, collection, transport and
final disposal of solid wastes (rubbish/garbage)
- To inspect the use of Individual Protective Equipment (IPE)
by staff employed in the area concerned.
