Land transport

Only land vehicles (trucks, buses, trains, passenger cars, small-load utility vehicles), that are in satisfactory hygienic and sanitary order can enter Brazilian territory. They must comply with the following:

a) hygiene and sanitary conditions:

• Water for human consumption;
  
• Areas for preparation and handling of food;
  
• Toilets;
  
• Collection and disposal system for solid residues (rubbish/garbage);
  

b) basic medicines for emergency treatment of cases of diarrhea;

c) existence of cleaning and disinfection material;

d) Vector control.
