Sanitary
inspection is defined as the range of activities concerned with
eliminating, reducing or preventing health risks, and intervening
in sanitary problems resulting from the environment, from the
production and distribution of goods, and from provision of health
services, including:
(i) control of consumer goods directly or indirectly linked to
health, taking into account all stages and processes of production
of goods, right through to their consumption;
(ii) control over provision of services which are directly or
indirectly related to health].
