Presentation
The Brazilian National Agency for Public Health Surveillance -
Anvisa/MS (Ministry of Health) and the Ministry of Agriculture,
Livestock and Supply - MAPA, supported by organizations and associations
from the private sector, organized this seminar to divulge and
discuss national and international norms for quality systems in
laboratories.
The specific
aims of the Seminar were
- o publicize
the Brazilian Government's policy on the definition and structuring
of quality systems in analytical laboratories;
- to harmonize
the laboratory services offered by the areas of Health and Agriculture
respectively with a view to standardizing information;
- to publicize
norms, references and international agreements related to food
additives, veterinary medicines, pesticide residues in foodstuffs
and methods of analysis as well as the codes and guidelines
on hygienic practice.
Target
Public
Professionals working for ANVISA, MAPA and other governmental
organs, in public and private laboratories, businessmen and others
involved in laboratory services.
